And their tarte citron vert...miam miam
I couldn't finish the bitter lemon gananch cake from Christian Constant.
I ate again at Cojean.
The exact same thing I ate my first day in Paris.
Yesterday I did deep knee bends on the es-ca-la-tour coming out of the Metro.
Yesterday I got yelled at in Printemps for shooting these adorable Christian Lacroix faces on a scarf.
Yesterday I went into Zara and bought a super thick cashmere pull for only 99 euros.
Yesterday I went home.
And ate a smushed Matcha Green tea dome of Sadaharu Aoki hoping it would keep me up till 3 AM, so Jet Lag in NYC wouldn't be so terrible, but I fell asleep at 11 PM exhausted from everything I did yesterday/hier.
Cojean has special autumn dishes like crumble - oui it was delish.
Fauchon has their Fall game specialties. Which reminded me of these drawings.
In the Louvre Librairie.
I had a Fall lunch with M. of quiche saumon and dill.
At Cafe de Flore.
Yesterday I struck out on the citron tarte meringuee concours. I had the chance 2X but just browsed instead of tasted. This delight(8 euros) at the new swank Mandarine Oriental Hotel in the 1st arr. on rue St.-Honore.
No.#4 on Louise's list, Lenotre's tarte I admired first thing in the morning. When I returned it was finished, gone, rien de tout. The vendeuse said, come back tomorrow. But I will be catching an early Eurostar and you, silly Lenotre, don't open until 9 AM.
In Jardin Luxembourg joggers race neck and neck with harried moms as the leaves keep falling...
A Paris dog looking rather Fallish don't you think?
French Girl is arriving in NYC this evening. She's staying for the weekend! She's bringing us fancy AOC Lentille verte du Puy Fr Girl made us her own recipe of lentille+parsley+smoked salmon+boiled egg on Jour du Macarons and we've never looked back. We're hooked.
You could say Paris is as inundated with lentille + quinoa as New York was with leggy models last week.
Love the packaging even in Hypermarche Carrfour...
If you're balancing a pastry regime you'll need a stop at Cojeanfor a salade de lentille bio et green apple right?
MIYOU is another one inside Le Bon Marche.Love their rectangular designer boxes - wish they were not plastic.
Yup, I had the salade feculents(?) tres yum (5.50 euros) and leaving me guilt-free to wolf down some Berko tarts.
Do lentilles mix with culture? oui bien sur at le expo Odilon Redon cafeteria
Quinoa makes it to a lunchtime ardoise/blackboardI haven't tried Couleurs de Ferme-I'm always racing to the Metro - 33 avenue de la Motte-Picquet, 75007
I tried Coco Cooks on rue de Seine 75006 - love it. Just a block from Patisserie Gerard Mulot...
So far I haven't seen quinoa or lentille macarons in Paris but you never know.
